Not just a heroine but a hero

#When people say that Joss Whedon is all hype #And completely overrated #And that his writing isn’t actually as genius as I think it is #It annoys me #But even if all that is true #It still doesn’t matter #Because he gave us Buffy #He stood up and declared it was time for women to kick ass #It was time to give girls someone to look up to who was strong and independent #and paved the way for other strong woman to grace out tv screens #And if that’s all he ever did that would be more than enough

I wrote a 6 page paper and 10 minute presentation on Joss Whedon last semester. I’d say 40% of it was about him being some what of a feminist and how Buffy change television forever for female leads. It was the best time I ever had writing a paper. WHEADON4LYFE!
